Travis Morris

Travis is first a man of Christian faith, placing God above all else and is heavily involved in his church community. Secondly, he is a happily married husband to his wife since 2009 and a father since 2011. He first served the fire service in 2014 in his hometown of Pike Road, AL as a Volunteer Firefighter before joining with Montgomery Fire Rescue in 2015 as a Firefighter riding with an ALS Engine company. He joined Destin Fire in 2018 as a Fire Inspector and has been a Captain Inspector and Fire Investigator since 2022. When activated for Hurricane events, he responds to the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) to help with coordinating rescue and recovery efforts. He is also a member of the Florida Fire Marshals and Inspectors Association (FFMIA). He graduated from Columbia Southern University in both 2017 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Fire Administration with a concentration in Fire Investigation, and in 2021 with a Master’s degree in Public Administration with a concentration in Emergency Services Management. He helps coordinate and facilitate Fire Prevention practices throughout our community to include regular inspections of our commercial properties and fire safety education for our Pre-K through 2nd grade students.
