With more than 20 years of dedicated service, Battalion Chief Robert Anderson currently serves the Destin Fire Control District along Florida’s Gulf Coast. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a minor in Fire Science and is a Certified Public Manager through Florida State University.

Chief Anderson’s combination of operational experience and management expertise enhances his ability to lead complex incidents, implement strategic initiatives, and mentor the next generation of fire service leaders.

In addition to his operational role, he serves as Chairman of the Destin Fire Control District Retirement System, where he advocates for the long-term financial security of public service professionals. Widely respected for his integrity, professionalism, and commitment to excellence, Chief Anderson continues to make a meaningful and lasting impact within the fire service community.
