Beach Warning Flags

What each flag means

  • Water Closed to Public

    Do not enter the water. Extreme conditions. Follow lifeguard instructions.

  • High Hazard

    High surf and/or strong currents. Use extreme caution; weak swimmers stay on shore.

  • Medium Hazard

    Moderate surf and/or currents. Swim near lifeguards; use approved flotation.

  • Low Hazard

    Calm conditions. Always exercise caution and obey local guidance.

  • Dangerous Marine Life

    Jellyfish, stingrays, or other hazards present. Enter with caution or avoid.
